UK inflation rate falls to 2.4% in June

Prices in the UK are rising at their slowest rate since the end of 2009, official figures have shown.

The annual inflation rate as measured by the Consumer Prices Index fell to 2.4% in June, from 2.8% in May, the Office for National Statistics said.

Reduce price of Golden Tree chocolates, Tourist Board advises

The Ghana Tourist Board is asking the Cocoa Processing Company to reduce the price of its Golden Tree chocolates to encourage patronage.

Driver’s mate rejects 1GP Coins

A “trotro” driver’s mate angrily threw away five of the one Ghana pesewa coins after a female passenger had paid him with the coins as transport fare.

New Cocoa Certification project helps improve farmers’ livelihood

Smallholder cocoa farmers in the Ahafo Ano North and South districts of Ashanti are recording improved crop yield and enhanced livelihoods under a new cocoa certification programme.

Dutch-based sustainable development NGO, Solidaridad, is equipping the farmers with the requisite skills and support to produce for the international market, under the UTZ certification brand.
