As police mount a search for the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) student who allegedly stabbed a colleague, authorities say they
suspect could be hiding at Kasoa in the Central Region.
The yet-to-be identified female student allegedly attacked her roommate at the Republic Hall, after a quarrel over a laptop computer.
Second-year Geography student, Akosua Ahiabor, was in bed on Sunday night when her assailant stabbed her three times in the chest.
Public Relations Officer at the KNUST, Kingsley Tabi, told Nhyira News the suspect has what he describes as “depressive tendency behavior” which her parents and university authorities are aware of.
Mr. Tabi also dismisses reports the two had been fighting over a man. He assures the university is fully cooperating with police in investigations.
Meanwhile, Miss Ahiabor is still on admission at the KNUST Hospital, where she is said to be in stable condition.
